Thesis project:

For my thesis project, I will be mapping a segment of the Northern Disturbed Belt in central western Montana, just south of Augusta, MT.   My goal is to determine if structural features of the region are similar to features of the Canadian triangle zone to the north, which is one of Canada’s largest hydrocarbon reservoirs.   If it is determined that the triangle zone of Canada extends into the Northern Disturbed Belt, MT, there is the potential for a hydrocarbon reservoir in central western Montana.   Key to this study is the Cretaceous Horsethief sandstone, which was deposited prior to the onset of deformation in the region.

Hobbies:

I love being outdoors, so I’m basically up for anything that involves sunshine and fresh air.   Spending as much time as possible exploring the great outdoors.   Here’s a picture taken at Mono Lake, California.
