How to Apply

Selection Process

The GLI program is supported through private donations, giving us the ability to admit 200 incoming freshmen for Fall Semester 2015. Admission to GLI is based on the submission date of your GLI Interest Survey, with priority given to students who are placed in the GLI Living-Learning Community in Miller Hall.

GLI Interest Survey will open soon.

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree at UM’s Mountain Campus (GLI is a 4-year program)
  • Placement into WRIT 101 or higher

Selection Timeline

Students who complete the GLI Interest Survey before the priority deadline of April 1 will be notified by mid-April if they have been accepted into the program. If there is still space available after the priority deadline, more students will be accepted into the program by early June.

Students who are not selected to participate, but that meet all eligibility criteria, will be placed on the waitlist as more space may become available during the summer.
