Accreditation assures program excellence through review of ELI's common standards of practice, curriculum, mission, faculty, facilities, student services, and equipment

The English Language Institute of University of Montana is currently undergoing accreditation through the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA). CEA is recognized by the U.S. secretary of education as a national accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the U.S.

The ELI program is committed to the consortium's effort to ensure that students receive the highest quality intensive English instruction from trained, professional teachers.

The English Language Institute is accredited through University of Montana Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process.
