The intensive English program at the English Language Institute of the University of Montana is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period December 2017 through December 2021 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. ELI actively supports professional development within the fields of international education and English language teaching through NAFSA: Association of International Educators. ELI is a proud member of University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP). UCIEP is an independent consortium of university and college-administered intensive English programs in the United States. The ELI program is committed to the consortium's effort to ensure that students receive the highest quality intensive English instruction from trained, professional teachers.
The English Language Institute is accredited through University of Montana Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process.
