Conversation Partners

About the Program

The Conversation Partners program is a weekly meeting between ELI students and UM students to practice English language skills and introduce ELI students to university life. Students and volunteers meet once a week at a determined time and location for various on and off campus activities. Optional activities and events are offered to the group throughout the semester and outside of the mandatory scheduled meetings.

For ELI Students

Enhance your English outside of the classroom with Conversation Partners.

This free programs provides you with the opportunity to meet with native English speakers and practice everyday conversation. Make friends and share culture through activities and events throughout the semester.

For Volunteers

Become a Conversation Partner Volunteer! Conversation Partner volunteer opportunities are open to the general public of Missoula. Benefits for volunteers include:
