Admission Semester(s) and Application Deadline(s):
- Fall - prior to start of semester
- Spring - prior to start of semester
- Summer - prior to start of session

Deadline(s) if also Applying for Assistantship:
- Applicants must have applied and been admitted by April 1
Test Requirements:
- GRE scores with a test date that is within the past five years OR verifiable GRE scores if the test date is over five years old
- Applicants for the M.P.A. degree may substitute the LSAT for the GRE
- The TOEFL, IELTS or MELAB tests are also required of international applicants and can substitute for the GRE when applying to the M.P.A. program only.
- All official test scores must be sent to the UM Graduate School.
The following "Additional Application Materials" must be mailed directly to the department (address below):
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- A 300 word statement concerning reasons for seeking an MPA degree
