Associate Provost Perry Brown

Graduate studies are a wonderful adventure in learning. They are very different from undergraduate education in their personalization and intellectual intensity. At The University of Montana we take pride in offering the best learning opportunities possible with vibrant courses, leading-edge research, and creative opportunities. As you surf through these pages you will note a wide variety of program options and you will find truly gifted and inspirational faculty members in many fields. With its world renowned Rocky Mountain location The University of Montana is able to attract many of the very best faculty in the world. They cherish the outdoors as much as our students do and they thrive in a stimulating intellectual environment, especially enhanced by outstanding graduate students.

I encourage you to contact faculty members and students in the program of your choice. You will learn from them about the assets and excitement of the University. The University has a broad mix of programs nested within its eight colleges and schools that host graduate programs: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Forestry and Conservation, College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education, School of Fine Arts, School of Journalism, and School of Law. Visit the web pages for each of these academic units to learn more about what each can offer you and the mix of graduate students on the campus of The University of Montana.

Our Graduate School staff is here to help you succeed in reaching your educational goals. They will answer your questions, help you with processes from admissions to graduation, and support you as you engage in a graduate education adventure-an adventure that will change your life.
