spectrUM Discovery Area

The spectrUM Discovery Area is an interactive science museum committed to inspiring a culture of learning and discovery for all. It is located in Skaggs Building Room 166 on The University of Montana campus.

The science center, which opened in October 2007, offers on-site exhibits, activities and demonstrations as well as outreach programs that bring a special brand of hands-on science to Montana communities and classrooms.

The spectrUM Discovery Area is open 3:30-7 p.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The cost of admission is $3.50 for those 4 years of age and older. Children 3 and younger are free. Free passes for families in need are available for check out at the Missoula Public Library.
