YouChat -- Four-Day School Week Discussion

A new Web-exclusive video featuring University of Montana President George Dennison discussing the proposed four-day school week is now available on UM’s official YouTube channel at

UM is considering implementing a four-day school and work week as one option to address budget shortfalls. The change could also reduce the University’s carbon footprint. Dennison proposed the idea earlier this semester, and a task force is now exploring the possibility.

The newest video is the sixth episode in the “YouChat with President Dennison” series. The series is aimed at UM’s student body and gives the president an opportunity to address students directly about issues and decisions made at the administrative level on current topics that are relevant to their college experience.

At the end of each video, Dennison encourages students to respond on UM’s YouTube channel with a video response or comment.
