Professor Stephen Seninger is retiring and the Bureau is currently accepting candidate submissions for a senior research professor and Director of a successful research program for the health care industry.  This is an Administrator/Academic with Rank position at the Associate or Professor level in the School of Business Administration.

 

 

The successful candidate will direct a high-visibility research program with significant outside funding; make numerous public presentations concerning research findings at the Montana Economic Outlook Seminars and elsewhere; and may teach in the School of Business Administration.

 

 

The Bureau of Business and Economic Research is the research arm of the School of Business Administration.  The mission of the Bureau is “to serve the general public, as well as people in business, labor and government, by providing an understanding of the economic environment in which Montanans live and work.”  With approximately 18 full-time employees, the Bureau maintains other research programs in economic analysis, manufacturing and wood products industry research and survey research.  Read about the Bureau at http://www.bber.umt.edu.

Qualifications:

 

 

·         Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.

 

·         Demonstrated capacity to conduct peer-reviewed research and communicate findings in non-technical language.

 

·         Demonstrated capacity to make non-technical public presentations of research findings.

 

·         Experience in successful grant writing and research development a plus.

 

·         Demonstrated excellence in teaching a plus.
