The University of Montana, Division of Biological Sciences, invites applications for a tenure-track position at The Flathead Lake Biological Station, at or above the assistant professor level, in freshwater biogeochemistry. Applicants with multidisciplinary research interests and experience in biogeochemistry of river and lake ecosystems are encouraged to apply.
The Division is interested in hiring a candidate who will enhance the ethnic and gender diversity of its faculty. UM is an EEO/AA employer and the recipient of an active NSF ADVANCE award.
Applicants must have a strong record of scholarly activity and a demonstrated ability to secure and maintain a successful research program.
The position is full time at FLBS with a periodic teaching expectation on the Missoula and FLBS campus.
The position includes half-time salary from UM (0.5 FTE of an academic year), with remaining salary supported through extramural research.
The appointee will establish an externally funded research program, supervise the Freshwater Research Laboratory at FLBS, and mentor graduate students.

A Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience in aspects of aquatic biogeochemistry are required.
