The Department of History at the University of Montana seeks applications for a one-year visiting appointment as an instructor or assistant professor of Middle Eastern history with an emphasis on the Arab World/ Ottoman Empire (nineteenth century to the present). Courses will include the modern Arab world and the Arab-Israeli conflict, among other possibilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of Arab-Israli conflict, modern Arab World, and Arab World/Ottoman Empire (nineteenth century to present).
Ph.D. in history preferred, All-but-dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered.
