Primary Functions

The University of Montana-Missoula seeks applications for Head Coach - Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field. The Head Coach provides leadership and direction in all aspects of the cross country and track and field programs, including but not limited to: training and development of student-athletes, program administration and development, budgeting, recruiting, fundraising, and monitoring and supporting the academic success of student-athletes.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of collegiate coaching, preferably in the area of cross country and distance running; proven successful recruiting experience
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with NCAA rules, practices and procedures.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree; coaching experience at Division I level; experience coaching or participating in track field events
  • Recruiting experience in the Northwest.
