What are the holidays observed at the University?
The University observes the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day - January 1st
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Third Monday of January
  • President's Day - Third Monday of February
  • Memorial Day - Last Monday of May
  • Independence Day - July 4th
  • Labor Day - First Monday in September
  • State General Election Day - First Tuesday of November (even numbered years only)
  • Veterans Day - November 11th
  • Thanksgiving - Fourth Thursday of November and Friday following
  • Christmas - December 25th

The Board of Regents may exchange certain work days for the same number of legal holidays.

Holidays occurring on a Saturday are observed on the preceding Friday, and those occurring on Sunday are observed on the following Monday.
