Professional Development Courses - SELL
The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning at The University of Montana provides courses designed to help local people become more competitive in the job market, gain the necessary skills to be more successful in their current positions, and manage their businesses more effectively. These are non-credit, short (under 40 hours) courses that are open to the public. Participants may sign up for a single course on a specific topic, or a whole series.

The goal of The University of Montana Allies Program (UM Allies) is to promote a campus environment that is inclusive and supportive of all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. UM Allies training is offered fall and spring semesters and is free and open to UM faculty, staff and administrators.
University committees serve a wide variety of functions at The University of Montana and vary in terms of their mission, membership, and representative term length. Serving on these committees provides the opportunity to grow professionally.
UM Staff Ambassadors
This program provides staff an opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people while enhancing their inside knowledge of The University of Montana. Staff will learn more about all UM divisions with the objective of fostering increased communication and collaboration across departments and divisions.
UM Staff Senate
The University of Montana Staff Senate facilitates communication and cooperation between the administration and the staff of The University of Montana. The Staff Senate promotes and works for improved working conditions and the professional welfare of UM's staff.
