Why are we changing to an electronic application system?
The new UM Jobs brings with it a host of benefits for all users. The new electronic UM Jobs will allow us to more efficiently track all activities related to the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process as well as remain compliant to all state, federal, and international employment laws.
When will this change go into effect?
On April 4, 2011, we will begin the roll-out of the new UM Jobs to applicants and the campus community. On that date, we will begin to conduct all new recruitments through this system. How frequently your department recruits and hires new employees will determine how soon you are able to discover the benefits of the new UM Jobs recruitment and hiring system!
How will this affect me as a member of campus?
The new UM Jobs will change the way anyone applies, recruits, interviews or hires while improving the ease and functionality of the hiring process. There are many positive changes that you will find more efficient, effective, and maybe even fun! If you are involved in any piece of that process, get ready for a beneficial change that will streamline our recruitment and hiring process.
How will this new system benefit me as a member of campus?
This is a fully electronic process – no paper required!
This system is integrated with a wide variety of external job boards which will bring in even more highly qualified candidates

How do we initiate a recruitment in UM Jobs?
When you know you will be starting a search, please contact our office so we can schedule a personalized training session.
Will all types of employees be recruited through this system?
Applicants for academic, professional, staff and temporary positions will submit application materials through the new UM Jobs. Student employees will need to visit Career Services for information regarding campus jobs.
When will I be trained to use this new system?
Training for hiring managers will take place on a one-on-one basis.

Who hosts this system?

Who can I contact if I have questions?
Campus users can log into the new system at: UM JOBS
Your user name is your NetID. To retrieve your password enter your username (NetID) and click on “Forgot Password”. UM JOBS will email you your password.
All current postings have been moved to the new site. Departments with open positions and active recruitments can view their posting through the system.
TO VIEW CANDIDATE RESUMES
Click on the number under Resumes and you will be able to view all applicants for your posting.
