Primary Functions

  • Position responsible for managing, coordinating, and supporting the Enrollment Services-Admissions network and information system; responsible for extracting data from the administrative database, providing intricate data analysis and report development; develops, implements, and maintains complex administrative information systems to improve efficiency and ensure the department’s mission; develops and maintains a bridge system between the recruitment contact management system (CollegeNet) and the Banner system to ensure accurate data flow and extraction
  • Position responsible for testing and maintaining the Banner Student Module relative to Admissions and Recruiting
  • Responsible for statistical and adhoc reporting; database design, development, implementation and maintenance
  • Provides database and technical support and training to users; develops training materials
  • Develops and implements new technologies to assist with Enrollment Services’ mission
  • Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and one (1) year of relevant related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of or ability to learn department’s admissions and recruitment policies, procedures, and processes
  • Demonstrated experience using relational databases such as Oracle and associated toolset, especially SQL and PL/SQL and data warehouse systems with the ability to learn new software and systems
  • Demonstrated experience with data input, extraction, and maintenance of a complex system
  • Considerable knowledge, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, E-mail management software, information dashboards, letter and e-mail generation, transfer articulation, and self-service products
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and work with users and technical staff to correct problems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to share knowledge with users and peers while providing positive customer service and training to a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to develop effective training materials to reach the intended audience
  • Ability to provide statistical analysis and present findings
  • Ability to understand business problems/needs and develop programming solutions
  • Ability to design efficient user interfaces and data reports
  • Ability to learn, synthesize, and experiment with new technologies to maintain technical currency
  • Demonstrated time management and multitasking skills with the ability to efficiently distribute effort among various assignments and duties and complete projects with critical deadlines; demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific knowledge of and experience with SunGard Higher Education Banner System
