Position serves as the assistant to the Registrar and provides administrative support
Processes readmission applications and residency questionnaires to determine residency status; serves as liasiaon to Intercollegiate
Athletics to produce the Student Athletic Eligibility Certificates and maintian accurate records for student athletes; serves as the assistant editor
of the UM undergraduate catalog; coordinates the registration of freshman interest groups, coordinates and modifies class seating for
orientations; manages academic probation and suspenstion records, generates and distributes notification of academic probation and/or
suspenstion
Performs Banner Database software application tests
Position completes other duties as assigned

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
|

| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Demonstrated knowledge of standard office practices and procedures: business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and composition with
the ability to edit materials
Ability to create and produce informational publications
Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data
Demonstrated knowledge of or the ability to learn UM and department policies and procedures (Including but not limited to: Curriculum
and degree requirements, admission policies, residency requirements, Intercollegiate Athletics eligibility requirements)
Demonstrated organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
Ability to complete tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a busy environment with attention to detail
Demonstrated public relations, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, including ability to work with diverse group of individuals and to
establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to maintain accurate records and strict confidentiality
Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions
Demonstrated skill in the operation of personal computers and related word processing, spreadsheet, database software (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook,) with the ability to learn new software
Knowledge and experience using, maintaining and troubleshooting standard office equipment: copiers, printers, fax machine, and multi-line phone system

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Banner software
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Related work experience in an institute of higher education; previous work experience in a Registrar’s Office
