Position serves as the primary contact for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (A high-volume, complex office where nearly all
work is time sensitive)
Provides administrative, data entry tasks, and clerical support for the day-to-day workload of the office
Maintains schedules for ORSP staff, sets up meetings, and answers phones
Processes incoming proposals and awards for external funding
Creates proposals and project files
Processes incoming and outgoing mail and incoming paperwork
Orders and maintains office supplies

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
|
|
| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Demonstrated knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; business English, spelling, grammar, and composition
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate to a diverse group of individuals, and
establish and maintain working relationships with the University community
Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer service
Ability to plan and schedule meeting
Ability to operate standard office equipment including 10-key, copier, fax, multi-line telephone, computer, and printer on a frequent basis
Demonstrated organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, while paying attention to detail, and ability to
follow through
Demonstrated experience in the operation of personal computers and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs
(MS Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion in the release of information
Ability to work independently and complete tasks with accuracy within a limited timeframe
