Borrows materials for The University of Montana campus community: locates, orders, and processes materials
Lends Mansfield Library resources according to departmental library policies and procedures
Provides reference assistance and research instruction to patrons
Organizes and monitors daily workflow
Supervises and trains student employees

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and one (1) year related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
|
|
| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, business English, grammar, spelling, composition, and punctuation
Demonstrated organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize tasks
Experience in the use of personal computers and related software (Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn new programs
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to navigate a variety of research databases, software, and websites
Ability to train and lead student employees
Ability to provide detailed, accurate and courteous customer service in a high volume, high traffic environment
Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
Effective interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers,
customers, other agencies and the general public
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and composure while resolving problems

Previous interlibrary loan work experience in an academic library
Experience using OCLC, Docline, ILLIAD, MS Access, and/or Voyager
Knowledge of Machine Readable Code (MARC) format
Familiarity with basic supervisory skills
|

Ability to maneuver carts of materials weighing up to 300 lbs. & retrieve materials from stacks ranging from 4” to 8’ off the ground
