Position is primary processor of invoices for Campus Stores, utilizing Facilities Services proprietary inventory and accounts payable software
to generate vendor payments which take advantage of vendor discounts for prompt processing
Works with vendors to answer payment questions utilizing Banner database and the Finance Data Warehouse software
Reconciles rental housing deposit information between Banner database and the rental housing software
Prepares and enters journal vouchers as needed; assists in inventory control; processes vehicle rental charges; generates and analyzes reports
from accounting data; provides backup coverage for work order desk
Position may supervise student staff

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and two (2) years of progressive accounting/accounts payable experience, or an equivalent combination
of education and experience
|

| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in professional accounting principles and practices
Knowledge of or ability to learn, interpret, and apply The University of Montana, Federal, State, policies and procedures; knowledge of or
ability to learn policies and procedures for UM purchase order processes (maintenance contracts, encumbrances, ProCard, off campus billing
processes, key and rental check-outs, fiscal year end)
Ability to analyze information; identify and resolve errors; prepare related reports
Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner to a
diverse group of individuals; ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
Demonstrated supervisory experience
Proven skill in the operation of personal computers and related word processing, spreadsheet and database software (MS Word, Excel, Access)
with the ability to learn new software
Ability to use standard office equipment; copiers, fax machine, ten key adding machine, multi-line phone system
Demonstrated organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to complete complex tasks with the highest degree of
accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and make sound decisions

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Banner Finance software
