Entry Rate: $8.25/hr.

Primary Functions

  • Performs administrative support within individual halls (dorms). Duties include but are not limited to: providing reception, information, resources, and administrative assistance to individuals on a continual basis; interacts with staff, students, guests, faculty and visitors working, residing, or living within RLO facilities; distributing mail for residents, processing work orders for repair and maintenance on RLO work order system; completes other duties as assigned
  • Coordinates all financial business activities with Residence Life Office. Duties include but are not limited to: balancing cash drawers, prorating fees, applying deposits to accounts, balancing accounting entries, calculating and processing refunds and handling cash transactions
  • Minimum Job Qualifications

  • High School graduation and one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, business English, grammar, spelling, composition, and punctuation
  • Knowledge of basic cash handling practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to provide positive professional guest service in a busy environment
  • Effective public relations, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate to a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, faculty, staff, visitors and those residing within Residence Life facilities
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated skill in the operation of personal computers and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn, understand, and utilize other software programs. An exercise will be given at the time of interview
  • Demonstrated skill in the operation of standard office equipment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion in release of information
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions with little direct supervision
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Banner database software
