Guidelines for Animal Surgery in Research and Teaching

Published in the American Journal of Veterinary Research, Volume 54, Number 9, September 1993 by Marilyn J. Brown, Phillip T. Pearson and Farol N. Tomson.

These guidelines focus on the major components associated with the conduct of surgery in research and teaching settings.  Although intended to serve for the conduct of surgery on mammals, these guidelines are generally applicable to all vertebrate species.
