There are two ways students can join ELI.
Regular Admission: Regular Admission allows students to apply directly to ELI. Students who apply for regular admission usually plan on studying English at ELI and then returning home. To apply for Regular Admission to ELI complete our application.
Conditional Admission: Conditional Admission is for students who want to study at the University of Montana (UM), but have not met UM's English requirements. Students who do not meet the required English language proficiency for full admission to the university, but who are academically qualified can apply for Conditional Admission to UM. When students are conditionally admitted they will be required to attend the English Language Institute until they meet one of the appropriate English proficiency requirements below.

Important: You do not have to apply to both ELI and UM if you want Conditional Admission. Please apply directly through UM for Conditional Admission.
