2:00 p.m. Autocracy in Denial: The Legal Obstacles to Political Opposition in Egypt.  Anders Blewett, a student of The University of Montana School of Law presents on his experience in Egypt, UC 332

4:00 p.m. International Development: The Peace Corps Perspective, a panel discussion with returned Peace Corps volunteers, UC 332 

7:00 p.m.  Human Rights in the Life of the Prophet Mohammed, Panel members: Florence Ramzi (Afghanistan), Hojamurod Hojaev (Tajikistan), Ahlam Abulaila (Palestine), and Adnan Al-Mesbahi (Yemen), UC 332

3:00 p.m.  Peace Corps Information Session: Peace Corps Recruiter Dan Cahill will present on the benefits of joining the Peace Corps, Mansfield Center.

6:00 p.m.  Discussion with ‘Witness for Peace’ members who traveled to Cuba precedes the Peace and Justice Film Series, “The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil.”  Sponsored by The University of Montana Students for Peace and Jeanette Rankin Peace Center, UC Theater

7:00 p.m. Missoula International Friendship Program: “Connecting Missoula to the World: The community’s role in International Education” A presentation by Gary and Carol Graham about their motorcycle tour through Iran and people-to-people experiences, followed by a panel discussion with MIFP members, UC 326

 

Friday, November 17

Noon1:00 p.m. The Return Home Workshop: After an incredible experience abroad, the return home can prove to be very challenging; this workshop can help you prepare to what awaits you at home. Come rediscover life at home. A presentation by Raquel Arouca, Mansfield Center.
