Please read the instructions below before starting your UM Travel Registration.  You will need your passport number to complete the Travel Registration.  To download a printable version of these instructions, click here.

1.  Answer the question asking if you are a student, faculty or staff member at UM.

2.  Login using your UM NetID and password.  Click here to look up your NetID.

3.  Complete travel registration:

  • Once you get to Your Home Page, select the Available Term that fits your travel dates.  The term dates run from July 1 to June 30 each year.  The 2011-2012 term starts July 1, 2011 and ends June 30, 2012.  For example, if you travel in January 2012, you will choose the 2011-2012 term.  If your travel spans two terms, you will register in the term that your travel begins.  For example, if your travel dates are June 15, 2012 to August 1, 2012 you will choose the 2011-2012 term.
  • Choose the location to which you are traveling.  If your location is not listed, enter the name of the city in the space provided.  Once the correct location appears in the Available box, click on the location and then click on the >> button to move it into the Selected box.
  • Enter your departure and return dates in the boxes provided.
  • Click Apply. You will not be able to continue without completing everything on this first page.
  • Complete any Application Questionnaires, Material Submissions, and Learning Content items that appear on your Application Homepage. You will need your passport number in order to complete the Application Questionnaire. You may select Save at the bottom of the Application Questionnaire to save your responses and later edit them. Once you select Submit, you will not be able to edit your responses.  Please also review the faculty/staff insurance requirements.
  • Your travel registration is complete once all of the items have a check mark in the Received column. This will require you to turn in any necessary forms to International Programs before your travel registration is complete.

Continue to create your travel registration record.
