Awards and Honors

Since 2005, Dr. Fluck received over 10 awards and recognitions for his research, teaching and service, one of which a national research paper award.

Five years in a row, in 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006, Dr. Fluck was the recipient of theFaculty Recognition Award by the University of Montana for his contributions as an educator.

In 2012, Dr. Fluck was nominated, by the Graduate School, for the Oustanding Service to Students Award.

In 2008: The prestigious Nancy Borgmann Diversity Award for contributions in teaching cross–cultural and global awareness and understanding.

Also in 2008 the Special Recognition Award from the Office of the Vice–President for Student Affairs. MLS was honored for the high–quality activities and programs offered for, and to, UM students.

In 2007: The 2006–2007 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award in Marketing and Management from the School of Business Administration, where he also teaches courses in cross–cultural management and business ethics every semester.

Furthermore, Dr. Fluck received the Best Paper Award from the Association for Global Business for a research study titled "Enhancing Global–Mindedness in International Business Students Using an Online Multicultural Supplement" and was nominated for the University of Montana Distinguished Service to International Education Award.

Parallel to the benefits his teaching has brought to the UM campus, the profits of his trainings and seminars reach beyond campus into the local community, as he was also the recipient of a community recognition award.

In 2009: The University of Montana Community Recognition Award, in appreciation for outstanding and dedicated service to international students.
