Research, Publications and Conference Presentations
MLS maintains an active, nationally recognized research program. MLS research results in pedagogy, instructional design and course development have been published in several peer–reviewed academic journals in recent years, such as the Journal of Global Business, for which Dr. Fluck received the Best Paper Award. This recognition was given by the Association for Global Business for a research study titled Enhancing Global–Mindedness in International Business Students Using an Online Multicultural Supplement.
Dr. Fluck is also a published author in the Journal of Teaching in International Business, and in several refereed conference proceedings of the annual conference of the Association of Marketing Theory & Practice (AMTP). While he has published primarily as a lead author in recent years, Dr. Fluck has also collaborated with colleagues and researchers from other US universities on scholarly articles since the mid 90´s.
In 2009, he was the invited first author for a chapter in a nationwide publication titled International Students – Strengthening a Critical Resource. The book is endorsed by the American Council on Education and is part of the American Council on Education Series on Higher Education.
On a countrywide level, Dr. Fluck has been the invited and plenary speaker and panelist at over 10 national conferences in the past decade. Those include, but are not limited to:
