UM Scholarships and Grants

Partner Exchange and ISEP Scholarships

Students applying for Partner Exchange or ISEP are automatically considered for these scholarships:

2010 Alette Boogman, Netherlands
  • Missoula Rotary - $500 to a student participating in an IP study abroad program
  • Scott Ferrell Lewis Scholarship - $500 scholarship for students in any IP study abroad program
  • Charles Sturt University -AUD$5000 scholarships for US students studying at this university
  • ISEP:  Students applying for ISEP should also check out the ISEP scholarship information.

Partner University Exchange Scholarships in Japan

Students applying for Partner Exchange in Japan are automatically considered for these scholarships:

  • Yoshiko Komai - $2900 scholarship for a student attending Toyo University (Japan) through UM's Partner University Program
  • JASSO - A scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education covering travel and living expenses for a student participating in an IP Japan study abroad program

  • Monbukagakusho - A scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education covering travel and living expenses for a student attending Kumamoto or Sophia University (Japan) through UM's Partner University Program

General UM Scholarships

  • The Jenna Ness Memorial Scholarship- One annual $1000 scholarship for women study abroad for a minimum of one semester on a UM-sponsored study abroad program. Deadline: April 15
  • Latin American Studies Scholarships- Four $500 scholarships for students minoring in Latin American Studies and studying abroad in the Spring or in the Summer. Deadline: November 15
  • The Dailey Study Abroad Scholarships- Two $1500 scholarships jointly administered by the Davidson Honors College and International Programs. Deadline: March 15
  • Public Policy Grant Awards $500 - $2000 scholarships administered by the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center.  Deadline: TBA
  • Boileau Study Abroad Scholarships - Up to $500 scholarship for Spanish majors or minors studying in Spain or Latin America.  Only Davidson Honors College students are eligible.  Deadline: April 15(for summer or fall semester) November 27 (for winter session or spring semester)
  • Peter H. Koehn & Phyllis B. Ngai Scholarship- Annual one-time-only scholarship award of $1,000 for international students in the International Development Studies Program. Deadline: TBA
