Network outage: 3/20; 1am until complete

There will be a network outage on our Optimum circuits on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, beginning at 1:00am.  There will be no service between the following sites and UM-Missoula (i.e., these sites will have no connectivity to UM-Missoula main campus or any internet access.)

• Helena - UM-Helena College (COT)
• Dillon - UM-Western
• Missoula- UM-Rural Institute
• Missoula – COTE (Missoula College East)
• Missoula – UM-Palmer
• Hamilton – UM-Bitterroot College
• Billings – MBMG Mtech site

Also there will be no connectivity between any UM site and the State of Montana Network.

Optimum is replacing equipment in Missoula. They have reserved a window of 1:00am to 7:00am.  We expect that the outage will be at least 2 to 3 hours.  The long window is used in case they are unable to make the new equipment work and have to back out to the old equipment.
