Manager of Web Technology Services

The University of Montana-Missoula invites applications for the position of Manager of Web Technology Services reporting to the Assistant Chief Information Officer of Technology Support Services.  The WTS manager has supervisory responsibility for seven full-time personnel and six part-time students who:

  • Oversee administration of UM's central production and development web environments
  • Manage the technical support for UM's suite of high-level web offerings, including the homepage, landing pages, index pages, search and directory pages
  • Design, develop, and support websites, web technology tools, and secure, dynamic web applications
  • Participate in enterprise-level planning for use of web technologies
  • Conduct research and perform assessment on new web-based technologies
  • Support a variety of campus-wide web technology services

This position is responsible for enterprise-level web infrastructure and application architecture as well as project management of a variety of critical, high visibility campus-wide services. Successful performance requires extensive interaction with multiple campus units and the ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, and administrators. Strong technical, leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills are essential.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably Master's degree, in an appropriate field and at least five years of experience relating to web technology services.
