University services accessed via the NetID and
password are offered to all current employees and also to
students once they apply to The University of Montana.
The NetID
and password are activated/deactivated for each group as
follows:
Current University of Montana employees may access
university services via their NetID as long as their employment
status is active in the Banner system. Deactivation occurs once
a termination date is entered into the Banner system. University
retirees have lifetime access to their University email account
and address (does not include other NetID-accessible services).
However, retirees must complete a form (available at IT Central)
to activate these services.
GrizMail accounts and other University services
accessed via the NetID are provided to students once they
apply to UM. These accounts remain active until the 3rd week of
the semester
following a student's final semester.
