Learning to convert documents is one of the fastest ways to gain access to written materials. 

OCR document converter provides document converter service to UM students and employees. This service converts image-based PDFs and images into text-based electronic documents.

Self-scanning at the Mansfield Library


The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library enables patrons to self-scan by providing scanners on the Main Floor (Level 3) and at the Accessibility Center on Level 2. Anyone may use these scanners for converting print into a digital format.

Self-Scan with Audio Output:

Scanners with the Assistive Technology software are available at the Accessibility Center on Level 2 and on the Main Floor (Level 3). Software includes: Read&Write GoldJAWSWYNNOpen Book and MAGic.
