Accessing online resources
IT provides centralized computer account services to UM faculty, staff and students including: Banner accounts, official University email accounts, and UM domain accounts.
NetID
The NetID allows campus users to connect to many campus systems and applications with the same login and password. University services accessed via the NetID and password are offered to all current employees and also to students once they apply to the University of Montana.
Central Authentication Service (CAS)
Several web-based systems at UM use Central Authentication Service (CAS) for secure access. CAS allows you to authenticate to multiple systems by providing your NetID login credentials only once. Some of the major CAS-enabled web systems include:
- UM Online Moodle
- CyberBear
- OneStop
- Mansfield Library
- iTunesU
CAS login is available at login.umt.edu
When you exit a secure web system, it's important that you click on the logout link and then close your browser. This is especially true if you are accessing these systems on a public computer.
