Support
The UM Solutions Center, launched January 17, provides a hub for students, faculty, and staff to access IT services, support, and knowledge. You can access the Solutions Center from any page that has the "Solutions Center" button in the top navigation bar, or by going to umt.edu/solutions.
Student email, called UMConnect, uses a suite of Microsoft-hosted Office 365 services.
UMConnect student email support
Employee email uses Microsoft Office 365. Your email is usually accessed via an Outlook email client or the Outlook for the Web website.
NetID and password
Your NetID allows you to connect to many web-based services and applications with the same login and password. University services accessed via the NetID and password are offered to all current employees and also to students once they apply to UM.

Web
Web templates
UM has developed a new set of web templates to improve consistency for web visitors while simplifying content creation and layout for content creators.
Cascade content management system
IT supports Cascade CMS for use by official UM departments and organizations.
Wireless
There are two ways to connect to wireless on the UM campus.
- Secure access: UM's secure wireless network is Eduroam. This secure network allows roaming access worldwide using UM credentials. Log into Eduroam with your Net ID followed by @umontana.edu (ab123456@umontana.edu) and your NetID password.
- Open access: Grizzlyguest using open, unencrypted transmission.
On August 9, 2017 the UMwpa wireless network will stop broadcasting and all secure wireless access will be through Eduroam.
