Anti-virus programs

The University of Montana has an agreement with Symantec to provide Symantec Endpoint Protection (for both PCs and Macs) to University faculty, staff, and students, and includes access to Symantec's frequent virus definition updates. This software is available for both campus and home use and may be obtained in one of two ways:

• Download from IT website antivirus page. NOTE: Prior to the download, you must verify your University status by entering your NetID and password at the Login page and agree to Symantec's licensing terms.
• Purchase a CD ($1) of the software from IT Central (Social Science 120, 243-HELP).

Campus wireless

Wireless access is available for University of Montana students, faculty and staff. Access is granted via your NetID. Two options are available for connecting to the University's wireless network: Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network) and WPA2 Enterprise.
