Anti-virus programs

Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended as protection for computers against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It is available for download for Windows XP SP 3 and higher, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Microsoft Security Essentials is a free download from Microsoft. University employees: Please check with your departmental technical support staff prior to downloading any antivirus product on your computer. Your department may be part of a managed Symantec group and an automatic process may be in place for managing Symantec on the department's computers.

Campus wireless

Wireless access is available for University of Montana students, faculty and staff. Access is granted via your NetID. At UM, WPA2 Enterprise is the option for securely connecting wirelessly on campus. More information is available on the wireless access web page.
