Microsoft Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2007 is the latest version of the Microsoft Office system. IT Central supports the following components: Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. IT is working with various departmental IT administrators who participate in the Microsoft Campus Agreement to facilitate the distribution of Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Windows Vista OS to their departmental personnel. If a department does not have a departmental IT administrator, they may contact IT Central for assistance. NOTE: Please see the Vista web page for important product support information.
Office 2007 File Formats
In the new version of Office, Microsoft added new file formats to Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. In order to open these documents in Office 2003 or Office XP, users may need to install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack (only available for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). This tool allows users to open, edit, save, and create files using the Open XML Formats of the 2007 Microsoft Office system. The Compatibility Pack is free. Read more about Office XML Formats.
At this time, other Office applications such as InfoPath, Project, OneNote, Publisher, FrontPage, Visio, and Outlook have not incorporated the new Office XML Formats.

Office 2007 Add-In
The following program allows users to export and save documents to PDF and XPS formats in eight 2007 Microsoft Office programs. It also allows users to send documents as e-mail attachments in the PDF and XPS formats in a subset of these programs.
Office 2007 Viewer Downloads
These viewer tools let you view full-featured documents, spreadsheets, and presentations created in Office 97 and later versions. These free downloads allow you to view and print, but not edit the files.
