Primary Functions

Tenure-track faculty position in the College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences (CHPBS) in the field of exposure assessment and education/outreach as part of the University of Montana's NIH-funded Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Environmental Health Sciences.

  • The candidate will be expected to contribute to service in BMED and SPCHS as well as contribute to graduate and undergraduate educational programs.
    • Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a doctoral degree (M.D. and/or Ph.D.) and a history of a successful research program as evidenced by a strong publication record and current research funding.
  • We specifically seek a candidate with research interests in particulate matter and source apportionment with experience in wood smoke exposure studies.
  • Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program that complements existing efforts in the COBRE and the participating academic units.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary
  • Collaborative team *experience working with federal, state and local environmental agencies
  • A record of outreach/education projects with high school students
  • Experience working with rural and Native American communities
