Position develops, coordinates, and executes all facets of admissions and recruitment at UM-M/COT; promote awareness of all academic programs and student life opportunities; provides outreach to Western Montana by visiting high schools, community colleges, other educational institutions, and college fairs
Oversees and manages all admission decisions, processing, recruitment, evaluation of credits, marketing, and orientation
Develops entire recruitment strategy for COT, including all publication writing, design, and production
Conducts market research and analysis for targeting populations unique to COT
Represents COT and main campus at college fairs, public events, high schools, and on-site campus visits
Plans, implements, and executes COT Orientation program and Open Houses
Provides academic advising and guidance to prospective student in matters related to college-choice, academic programs, and financial aid
Coordinates the development of recruiting materials
Supervises staff and student employees who provide service to office and admissions process; tracks and monitors office budget
Contributes to achieving the COT management goals

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and three (3) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
|

| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Knowledge of professional office practices and procedures; business English, spelling, composition, and grammar, including the ability to
write, edit, and layout documents in a variety of formats suitable for intended audience
Knowledge of or ability to learn UM COT policies and procedures that apply to incoming students with an emphasis in admissions, academia,
and financial aid
Effective interpersonal, public relations, and verbal and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate and work with a diverse
population and create and maintain positive working relationships
Ability to prepare and conduct presentations for various types of audiences; ability to effectively communicate complex information to a
variety of individuals
Demonstrated organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret, develop, and implement marketing, recruitment, and retention practices and strategies; ability to create and distribute
marketing, informational, and other related materials
Ability to plan, organize, and execute various events
Ability to track and monitor budget and verify expenditures
Proficient in use of personal computers and related word processing, database, and presentation software (MS Word, Outlook, Excel) with the
ability to learn other software programs
Must be able to work flexible hours to include nights and weekends as needed; must be able to travel occasionally
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Montana driver’s license
