Primary Functions

  • Position coordinates logistics and provides administrative support for the MT Geriatric Education Center and Pharmacy Continuing Education (CE) Programs. Duties include but are not limited to: Scheduling, screening, and organizing CE programs; making travel arrangements; event management (live and videoconferencing locations) ; maintaining program documentation; creating promotional tools/materials and related documents; assisting with budget management; maintaining department’s website and programs’ databases; assisting with grant submissions; may travel on occasional basis

  • Position will demonstrate knowledge of professional office practices and procedures; business English, spelling, composition, and grammar, including the ability to create and edit documents and promotional materials; demonstrate effective public relations, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals; will track and maintain financial records; demonstrate ability to plan and schedule events; will make travel arrangements; learn and apply grant practices and procedures and The University of Montana policies and procedures; will demonstrate skill in the operation of personal computers and related word processing (Microsoft Word, Outlook), spreadsheet (MS Excel), and database (MS Access) software with the ability to learn new software; will learn and operate videoconferencing equipment; will navigate the Internet; demonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn web design and graphic design software will demonstrate skill in the operation of standard office equipment; printers, copiers, fax machine, multi- line phone system; will demonstrate organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills and ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment; will prove ability to problem solve, set priorities, and make sound decisions; will maintain strict confidentiality; maintain a professional, personable demeanor at all times
  • Minimum Job Qualifications

  • High school graduation and two (2) of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of professional office practices and procedures
