Position is as a member of the Night Crew which works a traditional graveyard shift 10:00pm to 6:30am
Sweeps, mops, polishes, waxes and refinishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets
Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture; cleans and disinfects lavatories and kitchens; cleans ceilings, vents, walls and woodwork; cleans interior and
exterior glass
Collects and removes trash, garbage and recycled material from building; moves furniture for events; occasional outside work including sweeping,
mopping and snow removal; checks security of buildings by detecting locked doors and windows
Performs minor custodial equipment repairs, replaces light bulbs, & cleans light fixtures; maintains basic, complete records and notifies appropriate
authority of needed repairs

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and one (1) year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
|

| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Knowledge of or ability to learn custodial methods and up-to-date cleaning equipment and techniques used for scrubbing, disinfecting, mopping,
dusting, polishing and related tasks. A written exercise will be given at time of interview.
Ability to learn to operate or skill in operating cleaning equipment including buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, shampooers, high-pressure cleaners and
extractors
Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to learn to operate or skill in use of personal computer and related software (Microsoft Word, Outlook) with the ability to learn new
software
Ability to work with little direct supervision and work in a lead-worker capacity when needed

Qualified candidates must be able to meet minimum requirements and perform the primary functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to perform constant physical activity: Lifting: floor to knuckle height 77#, 12 inches to 40 inches 100#, floor to 60 inches 50#, floor to 48
inches 60#, floor to overhead 5# sustained with both hands; carrying: 2 handed front carry 77# for 10ft.; perform push/pull activity with equipment
weighing up to 60# sustained at waist level and up to 75# on occasional basis; static trunk forward bending and twisting from a standing,
crouching or kneeling position while using tools; repetitive reaching with arms in all directions, overhead 5# in both hands sustained; working overhead
from various positions (standing, squatting, and kneeling); balancing and climbing on a ladder; use of various grip circumferences and firm hand grip
positions while manipulating various tools and equipment (maximum of 50#). A Physical Screen will be administered prior to a final offer of
employment.
