7. In what should I minor?
We encourage our students to double major or minor in another
subject area of their choice. Almost any other major or minor,
coupled with journalism, indicates an aptitude in special areas.
When students are seeking internships or entry-level employment,
the indication of a double major or a minor impresses editors
and station managers. Advisers can help students decide what subjects
they like and help plan a course of study. Minors frequently chosen
by journalism students include minors in the sciences, geography,
languages, creative writing, history, economics and political
science.
