Bennett Jacobs
Reporter
Bennett
Jacobs is a senior majoring in print journalism with a minor in wildlife
biology. He grew up on his family’s
farm just outside the tiny rural town of Rockmart, Ga. As a young
boy, Bennett read too many books and magazines about mountain
men and cowboys hunting in the big mountains of the West. Despite
Georgia’s beauty, its low old mountains and lack of elk
drove Bennett to Montana, a state he had only been to once and
didn’t know a soul in. He embraced journalism for its absence
of a lot of math and with the hope that he may someday get paid
to write about hunting. Bennett spends his free time writing,
pursuing anything that there is a legal hunting season for and
hanging out with his girlfriend and his fellow Forestry Club
members.
