You know those really annoying people who stop you as you come into an amusement park or zoo and corner you to take your photo?

I was one of those.

That was my grand introduction to photography. And I loved every minute of it.

So when I went off to college, what did I study?

History. Obviously.

But while I was studying history and Spanish at the University of Evansville in Indiana, I did manage to devote myself to Student Publications, eventually serving as photo editor and editor in chief of both the Crescent newspaper and the LinC yearbook.

It wasn’t until after I graduated that I realized how much I loved my job there. The camaraderie. The networking. The deadlines.

And after a stint in retail selling fragrance, I’m out here. I hope to graduate quickly and get a job back East to be closer to my family.
