Lisa
Hornstein
The School of
Journalism is a familiar place for Lisa
Hornstein. A junior in the professional program, Lisa got her first
camera as a fifth-grader. Now sheÕs the photo editor for the Montana Kaimin;
photographer for the special sports section, GameDay Kaimin; and photographer
for the School of Journalism Web site.
"Photography is in all aspects of my life and I love it," she said. There
is hardly a day when she doesn't pick up her camera. "I have an unquenchable
desire to learn more about telling stories to people in a way that they
will remember them and have an impact on their life," Lisa said.
Working for the Kaimin keeps Lisa absorbed in photography: "Classes can
be a drag sometimes but the experience of the Kaimin and working with
wonderful people is the best part."
Born and raised in Montana, Lisa still can't get enough of the outdoors.
In the summers she works in Yellowstone National Park. During the school
year, she works as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA.
