Patrick W. Galbraith, a print-journalism and Japanese language double major, is known to those close to him as simply “The Otaking.” When not involved in his campus reporting duties, Galbraith chiefly concerns himself with the proper balance of caffeine, lack of sleep and marathon screening of Hideaki Anno’s “Neon Genesis Evangelion” to achieve a new-age pseudo-nirvana. An avid student of all things Japanese, his principal passions include anime, role-playing videogames and pursuit of the perfect bowl of ramen. Now a junior, Galbraith’s career aspirations post-graduation are to work at an entertainment-based magazine focusing on popular-culture phenomenon, such as Animerica or Electronic Gaming Monthly.
