is a senior in the School of Journalism with
emphasis on broadcasting. She was born and raised in Butte
and is the baby of nine children. She graduated from Butte High
in 1999 and from Montana Tech in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Professional and Technical Communications.
During her final year at Tech, she remembered how much she always
loved journalism and applied to the J-School’s professional
program. She began her first semester at UM in the fall of 2003.
Christine is in her last, but most exciting semester of school.
This semester
she will anchor, produce, and write stories for
UM News, PBS Newsbrief, and Montana Journal (which airs on PBS
in October). She is thrilled to be writing for the School
of Journalism’s Web site.
In February, Christine will marry Justin Johnson. They have a
puppy named Cash and live in Frenchtown.
After her honeymoon, Christine will complete her internship at Fox Sports Net
in Los Angeles. She loves sports, and so her dream of working in professional
sports will be realized, even if only for a couple of months.
