Luke George

is a senior in photojournalism at The University of Montana who comes from the Nisqually River valley of Yelm, Wash. He has had an interest in photography since he was 10, but it wasn’t until he graduated high school in 1994 that he bought a camera and discovered a new way to look at life.

Luke has a background in studio and portrait photography from Clover Park Technical College in Tacoma, Wash. He also studied art photography and photojournalism at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene. His interest in documenting culture and issues of social concern have led him to dissimilar people while he tries to show how similar we are. In his last year at UM he hopes to engage as much of the community as possible and to share the stories of Montanans with people around the world.
