Activities
Along with one of the oldest and largest student-sponsored powwows in the nation, Kyi-Yo members host activities throughout the year. These include a Native American Dance Theatre, Men's & Women's basketball tournament, tipi race, International Food Festival, Youth 3-on-3 Basketball tournament, Youth Conference and Jordan Carlson Memorial Scholastic Bowl.
The 2009 Men's & Women's basketball tournament will be held February 13, 14, & 15 and the powwow on April 17th and 18th. The tipi race, Youth 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Youth Conference and the Jordan Carlson Memorial are scheduled during the powwow.
In efforts to raise funds for the annual Kyi-Yo Celebration, the club is selling Native Griz t-shirts and hooded sweaters. The Native Griz wear can be purchased through the UM Bookstore and purchased through the club or the Program Assistant. Please call 406-243-5302 or 406-243-5403 for more questions.
