STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES

The program encourages and promotes travel and exchange with institutions of higher education in Latin America. Several study abroad options in Latin America are available both for a short period of time or for longer stays (one semester or two semester programs). Inquire at the Departments of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, Political Sciences and Art for details on these programs as well as at the Office of International Programs.

Study Abroad Opportunities

This Wintersession:

January 2004 Wintersession in Chile . Professors David Aronovsky ( Law School ) and Janet Finn (Social Work). Open to Law and Graduate students and advanced undegraduates with consent of instructors. (X4742; X5583).

Modern and Classical Languages Department:

Spring Semester Study Abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico.
(Odd years. Alternates with program in Salamanca, Spain).

Art Department:


Intersession: (January): Peru and/or Bolivia Study Abroad Program.
Courses offered:
- Art 451: Seminar: Peruvian and Bolivian Art.
- Art 451 Seminar: The Incas
(offered intermittently)

Political Sciences Department:


Summer Program: Mexico Study Abroad Program (Patzcuaro).
- Spanish language courses.
- Psc 430 Inter-American Affairs
- Psc 463 Development Administration


The Office of International Programs offers a variety of programs in Latin American countries through the ISEP program (20 partner universities in Latin America), and formal agreements with institutions in Chile (Universidad Católica, Universidad de Concepción, Universidad Adolfo Ibaez and Universidad de Los Lagos) and Mexico (Universidad de Guanajuato and Universidad de Monterrey).
